Navajo silversmithing is one of the great American craft traditions. Both men and women of the Navajo Nation work in silver, and the style is unmistakable: substantial sterling silver, hand-stamped and hand-filed, set with natural turquoise chosen for its character rather than its uniformity. Traditionally large pieces of turquoise were used; contemporary Navajo artists work in both the old style and newer, more refined settings, but the work remains handmade from start to finish.
Every piece in this collection was made by a Navajo artist we have verified, and every listing names its maker and tribal affiliation.
